American Eskimos are great travelers.

I'm never worried about any trip with these dogs, in fact I don't even know they are in the vehicle unless they ran through the sloppy barnyard first and jumped in the vehicle. Gross. Well we have taken these dogs on many road trips, up to 12 hours with few stops and they are fine. They sit nicely on the seat and take no more room up then a seat belt harness and sometimes we just let them lay on the floor and they are perfectly fine.
I don't even find they leave that much fur behind. I'm worse with my long hair, and 2 other family members with long hair to triple. I've vacuumed way more of family member hair than any 25 lb American Eskimo.
I'm quite amazed at how well our Eskimos do in vehicles and we don't even have to make a habit of keeping them use to it either. I'm sure they would be great for anyone. We traveled clear across the province to get Olaf and he was a great traveler even at 8 weeks. We took advantage of the bonding time and he was very aquaintted with us by the time the 10 hour trip was done.
