American Eskimo puppies 2017 update

It's always a challenge keeping up with all the changes these puppies make as they grow. But that keeps them use to us if we are always going in to see them, and they get use to me and my camera, and if I really need any excuse to go play with the puppies :)

The puppies are just over 5 weeks here in the following pictures, as of Dec 1, they found Elsie's water pot and it looks like we won't have to have a small water dish for much longer.

Here they have a big pan full of mushy Kirkland puppy food. We found this puppy and dog food to work well and we like the ingredient list, also  has good reviews according to Dog food  advisor ://www.dogfoodadvisor.com/

About American Eskimos

About American Eskimos

When it comes to these breeds, Im talking about the minatures since that's what we have, I really like them and from what I have researched they are just that when we take the time to bring the best out in our pets with time and their needs. They go with us on road trips and picnics, hikes or wanders around the property, they have lots of energy just to trot by my side or behind me. I also have them use to leashes and harnesses for any situations where leashes are needed. They have no problems in cold weather and come with me skiing and snow hiking too. People who have these dogs love them, and to many Ive sold say the same thing. I recommend them to anyone who wants to take the time to meet their needs. I also have heard they make good service dogs. I never had to teach them to play fetch, they seem to just do it.and love it.They are  very clever and they learn quick. They make good guard dogs too, with their alert and energetic personality, and loyal to their owners and family. All this said its with treating them right and taking the time. Nothing is automatic, it comes with desire and following through. Wikipedia has it quite right, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Eskimo_

American Eskimos are great travelers.

I'm never worried about any trip with these dogs, in fact I don't even know they are in the vehicle unless they ran through the sloppy barnyard first and jumped in the vehicle. Gross. Well we have taken these dogs on many road trips, up to 12 hours with few stops and they are fine. They sit nicely on the seat and take no more room up then a seat belt harness and sometimes we just let them lay on the floor and they are perfectly fine.
I don't even find they leave that much fur behind. I'm worse with my long hair, and 2 other family members with long hair to triple. I've vacuumed way more of family member hair than any 25 lb American Eskimo.
I'm quite amazed at how well our Eskimos do in vehicles and we don't even have to make a habit of keeping them use to it either. I'm sure they would be great for anyone. We traveled clear across the province to get Olaf and he was a great traveler even at 8 weeks. We took advantage of the bonding time and he was very aquaintted with us by the time the 10 hour trip was done.
