Grandfather of the golden Retreiver maremma cross puppies
Here's a pic of Grandpa Dan on the left with the mother IV on the right. Grandpa Dan is a Pyreneese Maremma cross, he is 8 and has been on the yard scince a puppy. He has a medium energy and quite relaxed. He recently had a 11/2 road trip in a large crate in the van and with his first road trip we couldn't believe how he layed down and relaxed. He had a bit of a problem with submission to us over the years but with the help of consistant attention and correction we have been able to improve his behaviour and he is much better now.
Dan is the grandpa of the golden Retreiver maremma cross puppies, he is IVs dad. He is the big white boy.
Blossom is beside him, our 2 year old golden Retreiver
About the puppies ( maremma golden Retreiver cross puppies)
We have sold 3 litters now of this breed and we are very happy with the results and feed back we have recieved.
We find they turn out to be a fairly well rounded dog with a good mix of both breed temperaments. Some individuals have reported they are great watch dogs with an easy going personality. Others have said they take after more of guardian temperament, and wary of strangers. All characteristics are valuable. It's also up to owners to follow through and be mindful of unwanted behaviour that needs attention. I would recommend any to be puppy owner to access Ceaser Millans website on selecting a puppy and training advice . www.cesarsway.com
You can expect a medium to large dog, they are perfect for any moderate to high activity.A medium wavey coat on some pups to a more straight thick coat on others, they are winter hardy for the north and are being raised outdoors in a well ventilated dog house with a thick bed of straw for comfort and air circulation.
Puppy update march23 ( golden Retreiver maremma cross)
Puppy's are starting to bark and growl, and getting around quite well . Soon they will be wanting to get into IV's pot and dump her food. Within 2 weeks or so they can start with mushy food in small amounts . I like to make them up a batch of broth and rice for their first meal.

Last years litter of puppies ( golden retriever maremma cross)
IV the mother of the puppies ( maremma Pyrenees cross)
IV is 4 years old, will be 5 this summer. IV comes true to the Maremma name, a relentless watch dog for predator control. She is great with children and will protect them as her pack, especially if young children are playing in the yard. Scince these breeds are independent , they can be tough to train and establish alpha dominance. This can be done with consistent correction as a pup and establishing it from then on.
Golden retriever Maremma cross puppies and Russell, the Dad
Welcome to my post on our latest litter of 9, IV, the mother of the litter had 8 males and 1 female, her previous 3 litters have always been fairly even in genders.
Russel, the Dad is Golden Retriever, he is very calm and even tempered. Loves to please and easy to train. He is 6 years old and is the father of all the litters.
